  It's nice to have all browser windows come up in the same place. And according to their website, you can setup some windows to be positioned in specific places. This is good for having search results come up to one side of the screen and content pages display on the other side.

  I've only used HandyThing for a little while, but it seems to work quite well. I use Remote Desktop, and also play 3D games, and every time my screen resolution goes back to normal, a bunch of my applications are out of whack. It used to be a very annoying task to have to resize them the way I want them, but HandyThing makes it as easy as hitting a configurable hotkey combination. I do, however, wish HandyThing had the ability to automatically reposition windows (as a timed event), rather than forcing me to hit a hotkey combo. And, importantly, despite what the Download.com listing says, HandyThing is NOT free--it's $10, with a 30-day trial.

  It's nice to be able to have more control over where my windows are positioned. HandyThing does this with ease. Setting up automatic positions is fun.
