GTGO is a travel application designed for automotive enthusiasts, focusing on routing drivers along scenic and technically engaging roads. The app prioritizes driving enjoyment over simply reaching a destination, providing users with a curated experience through its extensive database of roads. Key features include the GT Score, which evaluates roads based on their driving characteristics, automatic drive logging for tracking completed routes, and social sharing options that allow users to connect with fellow driving aficionados. With compatibility for Android devices and GPS functionality, GTGO transforms the driving experience into an exploration of the road itself.
The application maps out routes in a way that highlights the full length of a road, encouraging users to embrace the journey rather than just the destination. The GT Score system quantifies the quality of roads by analyzing factors such as corners per kilometer and elevation changes, making it easier for drivers to find roads that offer the most enjoyment. However, users should be aware that the road database is more comprehensive in certain regions, particularly Japan, which may limit the number of curated routes in other areas.
