Used Golf Tracker for Excel for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Golf Tracker for Excel provides golfers with ways to track their statistics over many courses and matches. While the layout looked familiar and simple, its trial limitations kept us from fully testing it.
We were so instantly comfortable with the program's interface that we skipped the instructional Help file. The program is based around Excel spreadsheets, looks the part, and was a cinch to navigate. We were surprised by how professionally the entire program was designed, especially since it was built from spreadsheets, but its areas to enter golfer information, courses and scores looked great. The Scores section was particularly good, as it managed to perfectly mimic all the boxes of a golf score card. We unfortunately couldn't get a handle on how well all the different tools worked since the program didn't allow data to be entered during the trial. The program offered a neat feature of report running, which supposedly allowed us to look at statistics based on specific parameters. However, this, too, was disabled. Our hope is that the program operates as smoothly as it looks, but we simply just don't know.
This program has a 30-day trial with the aforementioned data entry limits. While it looks like a sound program, our inability to test it left us with no choice but not to recommend it.
