FTPShell server is a a SSH2 based secure shell server program for the Windows operating system. It also supports account access throught SFTP, Secure shell, FTPS, FTP, and Telnet. FTPShell server lets system administrators authenticate users using either existing windows user accounts or by creating custom accounts. The program runs as an NT service and is easy to administer and configure using the accompanying administration panel or by using the Windows management console. SSH2 based public key authentication and SSL certificate generation are also supported. Client connection sessions can be logged and the log files can be automatically rolled over to conserve disk space.

Version 4 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

excellent product value

Pros
I was looking for an ssh2 server and found this to be an excellent value. Main reasons were <p>1. supports ssh2 and ftps <p>2. supports windows user accounts <p>3. personal edition is free <p> <p>It looks like all the problems mentioned by a previous reviewer have been fixed in the version that I downloaded (version 4)

The GUI for configuring users is ALMOST usable.
Cons
(1)--There's no way to change a user's password (which for security purposes, should be done on a regular basis) without deleting and re-adding the user! <p> <p>(2)--There's no PASV support. Some won't need this, but I do. <p> <p>(3)--The logging is insufficient for debugging problems. <p> <p>(4)--Only listens to one port, so if you want to support FTP on port 21 and SFTP on port 22, you're out of luck. <p> <p>(5)--And then, there's a few other minor usability issues such as fields that are disabled when they should be read only so that you can view all the data in them (when the data is too long for the field).
