  Pros

  Can be used as portable when installation folder is simply copied to USB. Opens like a simple mail client with easy interface.

  Cons

  The installations has a lot of ADWARE, but if you know how to skip and avoid them, at the end you get the program installed.

  Summary

  All in all i would have given 5 stars, if there was not so much ADware at the begining.

  Pros

  you need nothing else if you have got this Free PST Viewer to conveniently view your files. Even if you do not have Microsoft Outlook this tool can make you view PST files without any trouble. It is simple and useful to view contacts, mails, notes, calendars, etc.

  The app cannot edit corrupt files.

  I have Outlook and it works fine, but I have old PST files in an external drive that I wanted to see so that those files didn't overwrite my current Outlook files. I have tried to view just over 10 PST files. I either get a message that the file(s) failed to load, or nothing at all happens.

  Summary

  This program makes me nervous. After multiple unsuccessful attempts using different PST files, I get the uneasy feeling that installing this program was a great mistake. I can't prove that it may compromise my system's security, but I'm taking it out anyway. I mean, what program does NOTHING?

  Does in fact open PST files, I guess. Had trouble with attachments and printing.

  Cons

  Installs malware even when such options are carefully avoided during the installation process. Otherwise, not particularly good at what it purports to do. I wound up having to go with another option regardless of the malware issue.

  Summary

  Lost productivity cleaning the machine means that even a paid solution is going to be cheaper in the end. The positive reviews here are obviously sockpuppets. Don't touch this trash.

• It works but watch out for extras

  It works. I was able to open my PST files without having to use MS Outlook.

  Cons

  There are many extras during installation. I had to click on Decline five times before finally it proceeded with installation of the PST viewer. During those 5x, the prints about the extras (Conduit Search, Plus-HD, Focusbase, Desktop Weather, RegClean, VuuPC) were much much tinier. Obviously, the author expects most people to not notice all these extras and just click on Accept without reading carefully. Quite deceptive but that's what you get with free apps. Just be careful and read before you click on Agree or Accept.

• Full of malware

  None. The App has problem with bigger (500k+ PST files) - it's simply hangs up.

  Cons

  It's loaded with a bag of malware (for example VO Package). I wish I saw the guiman100 post earlier. If you still want to install it, be ready for malware removal procedure like this one: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/vo-package-removal/

  There are none unless you like malware.

  Cons

  Bitdefender blocked the install because of malware and "infected resources." Might be a nice program like the other reviewers here say, but not worth it for the "extras" you get.
