Who knows? I downloaded it but killed the installation as soon as I noticed that it came bundled with crapware.

The Download.com downloader has its usual crapware that you have to carefully deselect (which, of course, I did) but even after that, after you've downloaded the "clean" app and you go to install it, the dialogue box notifies you that you're installing not just the Free MOV to WMV Converter, but also the "YouTube Accelerator Browser Application and Add-On" and that, by installing it, I will be entering into a "legally binding agreement" with "Goobzo Ltd." Goobzo's bundling with the two aforementioned apps results in the installation of FilesFrog Update Checker, the iWebar by iWebBar, Shopper-Pro, DAEMON Tools Lite and other delights.

Download this program and when it didn't work I download the MOV to MP4 converter. Neither program worked. It converted the MOV file to an MOV file.

It's free, interface and menu are really simple to use.

It's free because it's a converter that doesn't work (unless it's just I'm missing codecs). Converted several files and none of them played. Well they did, but the screen was full of random colours and no picture.
It's also free because it's loaded to the teeth with about 6 different add-ons and (as picked up by Malwarebytes) 6 different adware threats. PUP.Optional.OutBrowse and PUP.Optional.Buzzit were the names of the files picked up.
The file was added on June 3rd, and on June 6th an overly positive review was added stating that it scored heavily over other apps. I'm not saying anything, just use your own common sense.
