Editors’ Review
Although it was created as a time-saving tool for those who test forms on a regular basis, this freeware tool's top-notch performance rivaled that of fancier autofiller tools. Form Saver is a Firefox add-on with a simple interface that holds only a few options selected with radio buttons. There's no Help file, but most users should pick this simple application up very quickly.
You can access it through the Tools menu or with a right-click. There are only five options, which include saving password fields, ignoring blank text boxes, and other similar settings. Forms are saved as Firefox bookmarks. You can select the bookmark folder and name for your saved forms in two simple steps. When you go back to a page with a form you've saved, simply choose the bookmark and the saved text, and options for radio buttons, check boxes, and other form elements are immediately filled in.
There are no security measures for Form Saver, so it's not ideal as a password manager. Still, if you frequently fill out the same information on a Web page for testing or other purposes, this effective freeware tool is a true time-saver.
