A tangle of tree roots and branches can be as inspiring or as frightening as any work of art. This screensaver draws from that source, cycling through several dozen fantastic forest images. The picture quality is generally good, and we like the variety of transition effects. The software allows users to set how often images are changed, switch their order, and select transition effects. Images can be displayed in black and white, or used as wallpaper on the computer's desktop and automatically shifted every hour. No soundtrack is provided, however. For nature lovers inspired by the forest's secrets, this may well be worth a try.
