About 1 font in 8 on my computer shows the font in it's true form, all the others seem to revert to Lucida Grande. I'd give it 5 stars if it really, really worked but because it doesn't I've taken 3 off! Not very impressive. Lemke's FontBook still remains the best but the more I see of these apps the more I think there is a huge gap in the market for the ultimate Font Preview & Print Software. I'd love to be able to write such a thing... I think I'd be able to retire before Christmas!!
Closer, but still no cigar (or sale)

Font Pilot won't display what each font looks like in this format, just the first font it finds in the file. Other font utilities like Font Thing and Lemke's FontBook don't have this limitation.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Dispite the developer's "extensive testing", I couldn't get this program to preview fonts that weren't installed on my MacOS X 10.3.6 system. Program displayed an error log when I dragged a folder containing 20 fonts in folders onto the program. There were a bunch of FMActivateFonts: Parameter error/No default volume. (-50) errors mixed with Not enough memory errors. I have 1GB and no memory problems with other applications. Guess the extensive testing missed this. And, drop the 'tude. Developers with 'tude aren't worth the money to deal with. Maybe another line of work might be in order. Want fries with that?

I try to see if there's a help file...just directs me to the Password Retriever website. Preferences? None, just an update list which didn't even work. Character map is slow and looks like it's been ripped from similar programs. The interface is buggy and slow. There isn't even a select all. Overall....$16? No thank you.
