Floe Beacon for Android

Floe Beacon is an educational software designed for Android, focusing on polar phenomena. The app serves as an offline encyclopedia, offering a catalog of polar phenomena with detailed entries, interactive matching exercises, and expedition challenges. It is suitable for students, researchers, and nature enthusiasts, particularly in remote settings where internet access may be limited. The app facilitates self-directed study and fieldwork preparation by providing valuable reference material in a portable format.

Key features include a side-by-side comparison tool to analyze differences between similar entries, an interactive matching activity to reinforce learning, and progress tracking capabilities. Users can create thematic collections and pin entries for easy access. While the app excels in providing focused content for polar studies, its narrow subject scope may limit its applicability in broader science curricula.
