Flash Card Factory provides users with a simple way of improving their foreign language vocabulary. Though it features a pair of excellent tools for the job, the program doesn't provide all it promises.

The program's interface will take some experimenting in order to get used to it. For the most part, navigating and utilizing its functions is simple, but the smaller tools are unlabeled, and it might take a visit to the Help file to fully understand them. The program's flash card function was the highlight of the program. A cartoon image of a hand holding a card reveals the English word and the Spanish translation. Users cycle through the alphabetical list using arrow keys. Users can also choose to hide either of the answers in order to quiz themselves. The second component to the program is a translation dictionary that is quick, effective, and fairly standard. Our only concern is that the description promises to help with a wide array of languages, though we couldn't find a simple way to change from Spanish and English, even after looking at the Help file. The program's best special feature is its ability to create new flash cards. This is a simple matter of filling in blank fields and is a great way to zero your studies in on specific words.

With useful functions and great features, it's a shame this freeware program suffers by making it difficult to study other languages. That said, if you need to work on English or Spanish, this is a great tool.

Pros
Easy to install and use , you can add ,remove and modify a flash card easily , you can create different category and make yourself test as hide or unhide the cards.. It is not complicated and a simple programme.I am adding each day 5 new words :)
Cons
Default language is coming with spanish and english , explanations are long to read .. but finally I discovered that from their website you can download lots of languages ..
Summary
It is not a trojan ,editor rated as one of the highest score so it is a prove that there isn't anything and totally safe. I coudn't understand the comment that it is a trojan ,maybe mate you are from a rival company who is selling these tools for money:).For a free tool it is excellent and appreciate for the developer's work.Thanks!

I installed this program onto my laptop computer, and as soon as the installation completed, my computer became unresponsive and my screen would periodically go black. My Avast didn't say anything about a trojan or such, but I'lll steer clear of this

I would not suggest this to a friend. After some more research looking around, I found "Byki Express", which rocks.

I found it very useful and start to learn new vocabularies for German ,thanks for the developer for sharing such a nice software,will bookmark.

Databases are full with useful words ,easy to use,being customizable is a great feature.
Cons
It could be also some pictures and audios..Despite of this it is a very good base for learning new vocabularies!
Summary
At overall I am giving 5 stars to this programme although there are some missing features which needs to be included in future developments.It deserved 5 stars because it is a non-commercial open source study which is trying to create a difference, and includes may useful vocabulary databases!! Will check it often for updates and for sure recommend to my friends.

You need to understand the logic of this programme.It is a template of available databases.After installing the programme you need to download and run the proper database from their website..All is free and very well updated.
Summary
Since downloading this product, I have been using it.Each day I am learning new words and practice with it.Best side is I customized the programme and put my own words.It is really great that to have such flexibility !!Thank you.
