Nice features in 3.0 upgrade. I can see the developer's efforts to improve this app as much as possible. Safe boundary feature is great. Now I am not limited by the size of the canvas, but I can set my own safe boundary percentage and search for the best stroke layout.

Summary
It was a very wise move from developer to include Photoshop plug-in to Flame Painter. Don't expect the plug-in to work like all the familiar PS plug-ins, though. You will need to run both applications to be able to use the plug-in, but this is again something that contributes to the uniqueness of this app. Plug-in itself works perfectly, I am able to export layer within a second. The only thing I would appreciate to see in the future is the ability to export more than one layer at once. I believe this is already on the dev's "future features' list".

I came across the program called Amberlight here on Cnet - downloaded the demo, played with it, googled it and immediately bought it. When exploring the website, I found out that Amberlight is not the only work of this super talented developer - without even trying I bought Flame Painter 2 straight away as I was really amazed by the features of version 2 and by the wide range of effects it can produce. Now I am just speechless - I can spend days (literally) playing with both softwares. What I love the most about Flame Painter is that I can learn all the functions very easily just by experimenting with them right on the canvas. Moreover Pro version offers vector layers which you can use for adding effects to photos and images which can be opened in FP as well. All in all - this app is worth trying (and eventually buying).
