Finder Window Manager (FWM) is an application for managing all of your Mac OS X Finder window needs. This application allows you to create Window Sets to remember the size, placement, and all the view options of your open windows. Once a Window Set has been created, you can move, close, or otherwise modify your windows and easily restore the captured Window Set properties, opening all of your Set windows and recreating the windows' views--and you can have an unlimited number of Window Sets. When you have many projects in various windows, this application quickly becomes indispensable. While FWM provides an easy-to-use interface for managing Window Sets, this feature is just the tip of the iceberg of this application's capabilities.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Great to see this fantastic little application return, I've tested it and it's working great in 10.4 Tiger.
Even though I have other Finder type applications such as PathFinder there there is nothing that can replace Finder Window Manager for an instant look at the status of a whole bunch of folders. And only $10.
Having the ability to remember any number of Window "sets", including every little detail of how the window is setup (type of view, sorting, which columns, do they calculate sizes and so on) is great. There seems to be only a handful of applications that attempt this and FWM is the best by a royal mile.
There's quite a depth to this little app and many options, if you're forever shunting files around between folders then you can make the whole laborious task one hell of a lot nicer with this.
BTW, support is first class and errr, no, I'm not the developer :)
Simple, useful and brilliantly executed.

Working in graphics as I do, I'\\m continually shunting and sorting graphics files of one sort or another from one place to another. Until I've developed the bespoke applescript of doom to do it for me (very unlikely!) this is the only thing that can speed up the operation. The degree of control is excellent and the app hasn't had any reliability problems whatseoever.
In an instant I can call up a window set (as many windows as I like ... 5, 10 whatever) and see the exact contents of several different folders all at once, and all precisly placed on the desktop and showing in the view I selected.
Brilliant, and $10, well it's nothing for the time it saves me. This app has made me noticeably more productive.
Great app

Also, I agree with WhiteDog: it would be great if FWM could manage column widths in Panther, both in column view and list view. Well worth its price.
It Works, mostly.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
It does most of what I need it to do. The one problem I'm having, though, is that windows in column view open with narrow columns. I tried setting column widths and saving the window as a set with Finder Window Manager, but when I reopened the set the column widths did not stick. This may be a Panther issue, but I've been looking for a solution and haven't found it yet. Still, I paid for FWM - the price is right and it does what it's supposed to do.

Now, if there were a way to assign hotkeys to Window sets I'd do backflips.
Good job.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Good job with the progress bar and the stop button! It's nice to know how many subfolders still need to be processed. I decided to put this program to the ultimate test and had it "parent clone" the entire library folder. 632 sub-folders were processed without a glitch. Excellent! BUT... when I tried to "parent clone" the applications folder I got the following error message: "A mismatch type error occurred". My settings were: Depth - 9 sub-folders Offset - 0,0 Width and Height - Zoomed to contents. The program, though, had no problems processing each subfolder inside the applications folder individually. Finally, although I'm now used to the interface, I think it would be nice if the preferences were in the menu bar instead of being in the same window as the actions, and if all the customizable settings for an action were displayed in one window (right now you have to open 3 windows to change the settings for "parent cloner"). In any case, the program does exactely what it says it does, and the support is great, so I'm sending my registration right now. Good job!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The problem I mentioned below was solved by the developer in less than 12 hours. Great support. Now, the only missing features in my opinion are: 1) a window with a progress bar and a button to stop the program. 2) A slightly more intuitive and better looking interface. Otherwise, flawless. I will keep testing it for a few more days and then register it.
