  Few insignificant ones... but any cons can be resolved in a flash by their development staff if they are major request cons.

  Summary

  This software has amazed me by its simplicity and the features. It is one of the best software I have ever seen and yet it is very affordable and simple. Not mentioning the kindness and reliability of the support people from who resell it. They also have a blog/forum where you can get help.

  I tried this one out while searching out Point of Sale software, but found something so much better (JStock by creative-software-solutions dot info). I'm a retailer and have no connection with this software other than being a fan. Very inexpensive ($240) and really responsive support. EZ Power just wasn't powerful enough for my needs, nor did it have enough features. If you are looking for something extremely basic, you might want to try EZ Power. However, if you need something more, I personally highly recommend jstock by Creative software.

  Pros

  Small program that does not take much resources so it does nog make your computer slow. Easy to use. Fast. Questions via email are answered within 24 hours. Although the programm is small, it has a lot of features and lots of reporting possibilities.

  Cons

  I am using this software since 2005 and have upgraded to the newer network version last year. Maybe it is a con that you have to pay for newer versions, but this software is very affordable that it would not be right to say that is a con.

  Summary

  If you are looking for an affordable and easy to work with POS program, this might be your choice. No hidden fees, just one time payment.

  Product is not designed for PoS; neither usability, nor functionality.

  Summary

  Interface is not user friendly for someone conducting PoS business transactions. Nothing is known about the database and its maintenance. It is so hard, and can't get it from first time, to start the applications.

  Pros

  We have quadrupled our business, and it has been easy to expand with this sofware. Things like showing what days/month/hours are most profitable, and best sellers per profit margin are great.

  Cons

  If it could hook up to Australian MYOB accounting software, it would be ideal.

  The software does everything I wanted and I discovered some new great features. I found most functions in the software were simple and easy to use. The phone support was there to answer my questions. The price was right. I don't think anything else comes close to the features, price and support.

  - One license per registration only, you have to give your company name and address to DenverResearch, they in return'd put those details in receipt message and they're not removableIf we knew this beforehand, we'd have purchased other pos soft instead <p>- No much control over setup options <p>- Weak backoffice (more detailed reports'd come handy <p>- No CANAI (Constant Never Ending Improvement), my friend is using version 7.7 and there is no difference between 7.7 and the newest v. 9 <p> <p>For those looking for a permanent POS solution, I believe there are better alternatives, one'd be Aldelo for restaurant and for those looking for free lunch: Tina Pos, the soft is for free, it's a JavaPos, and opensources.

  Pros

  I have used ezPower in two businesses for over a year and half now. I have run demo's many other POS software solutions. Recently for month I live demoed a $2200 piece of software for one of our locations because we needed warehouse tracking. We opted once again for ezPower and it continues to impress us. What you get for the price is quite astonishing. ezPower is built in C+ and it is truly very stable and fast. They are not just saying this as we have run thousands of transactions and multiple locations. The functions are broad for the user like my self who is continually tweaking and looking to improve and yet simple for the employee and daily use. As with some POS's your data is trapped in their system. Import and exports functions in ezPower are excellent and allowing for data manipulation and custom reporting if you have specialized needs. Support and service at Denver Research is exceptional. We had requested some customizations and they were done overnight. Software delivery is fast, development is continual, and their support via email, AIM and phone is usually within the hour if not immediate. As to cost, I have done enough research and believe I can say there is nothing on the market that delivers so much for so little. A lot of other software relies on VB database packages which hog resources, can be buggy and cost $1K on up. We have tried a few and now wonder why competing software tends to be so bloated, costs ten to twenty times what ezPower does and doesn't do the job as efficiently and thoroughly as ezPower.

  ezPower development has been so rapid and responsive that nearly all the issues/desires I had when we first started using it have been addressed.

  Pros

  ezPower is very simple to setup and use. Most of our staff members have stated that they prefer this system to regular tills. Support is quick to respond and suggestions seem to be implimented into updates.

  Cons

  The documentation is sparse and could be improved. Also, the support forum is overly censored. The slightiest poor comments or even positive suggestions tend to be deleted to avoid potential customers from seeing them. Otherwise the forum is informative and well responded to by support staff
