Keep an eye on your favorite Web sites and be alerted if service goes down.

EyeOnSite is a tool that keeps an eye on your sites or servers to see if they are accessible on the net. The services that can be monitored are http, ftp, smtp, and pop3. When a service goes down, you can choose to be alerted with a visual message or an audible alarm. In addition, you can send an email message or launch an application which can be used to correct the situation.

Does exactly what I wanted without any fuss

I registered here just to give this software a good review. I does exactly what I wanted without any fuss, but also has some extra features. I have been using it for a couple months and it has been reliable. It could be a little prettier, but who cares since it is easy to use and just works! Wish all my software did that.
Cons
People with advanced monitoring needs may require something more, but this is free and does exactly what it says.

I have a web server running on a port other than port 80, and this won't let me check it. If they put this feature in, I would probably use the software.
