EyeEm manages to cut through the plethora of photo editing and sharing apps on the App Store to provide a unique, engaging experience, unrivaled by many of its peers. While not a perfect solution to some common photo sharing issues, EyeEm manages to provide much needed improvements to many issues in an easy-to-use photo sharing tool.

EyeEm is very similar to other photo filtering apps, but does many things differently that make it not only slightly easier to use, but more effective. When you create your account, you can choose to immediately connect to Facebook or to register an independent account. Taking photos afterward is as easy as a couple quick taps. Swipe left/right to choose a filter. Swipe up/down to choose a border for your new photo. Snap the photo and finalize the style and you can then tag it, add a location, and upload the whole thing to one of five social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, or Foursquare. The entire process is seamless, quick, and loaded with features, depending on what you want to do with your photos.

EyeEm is a well-constructed, easy-to-operate app that provides just enough new features to make it worth downloading if you are eager to do a bit more with your photos. While not a groundbreaking or revolutionary app, EyeEm does refine the photo filtration formula.
