EvJO Wallpaper Changer allows you to change your computer's wallpaper at set intervals, much as many similar programs do. Although the program has some features that we were initially excited about, we found it confusing and frustrating to use.

The program's interface looks intuitive, but nothing seems to function as it's supposed to. We attempted to scan our computer for photos to use, but the program can't support subdirectories, so we couldn't access photos that were contained in folders within folders. We were excited about the program's Flickr support--it seemed that we would be able to enter tags and have relevant Flickr photos displayed on our desktop--but we couldn't get this feature to work. We could view and apply one Flickr photo at a time, but the wallpapers never actually changed. Ditto for the photos from our computer, which we finally got into the program; even though we had the change frequency set at once every minute, the wallpaper never changed. And even after we disabled the Flickr option, the program continued to use Flickr photos instead of the ones we had chosen from our computer. Could any of this have been from user error? We suppose it could have been, but we had no way of knowing, as the program does not include a Help file.

EvJO Wallpaper Changer is free, and though it installs easily, it does leave a folder behind when removed. We do not recommend this program; although it has potential, its cool features are no good when they don't work.

Good for single monitor displays

Works decent enough. Is free.
Cons
No additional support for dual monitors. Stretch option doesn't work like you would want it to. If you have a widescreen monitor and standard ratio pictures that are higher resolution than your monitor, it will only resize the pic to fill the entire screen. There is no option for it to resize the pic so all of it is showing in the middle.

free to use is a plus, it works once I figured out the program and set it. not for people who are not familiar with Windows in general. I am running this on an old laptop with XP Home, 850Mhz cpu and 576 MB RAM

No fit to screen option.
Summary
Always works very well. You can select any folder or particular photos that you want and even select additional folders too. It has settings to make the pictures stretched to fill the screen or automatically let it decide the size. You can also select the background color behind the pictures for the ones that don't fill the screen. The only thing that I don't like is that there isn't a setting to make the pictures fit to screen size. I love the way the built in photo screensavers in Windows do that and I just wish they would make it possible with this background photo changer also. It is still very great as far as funtionallity is otherwise and it runs very well.

- Will randomize all wallpapers with just a shortcut. - All are automatically set to stretch mode.
Cons
- For a free product, can't complain. Except for one thing. You need to add the subfolders of folders in order to get all the files.

Very solid product, much better than competitors because doesn't leave system hanging on shutdown.
