Epilude is an innovative AI productivity tool designed for Mac users that serves as a discreet note-taking companion for online meetings and calls. This application enables users to record and transcribe conversations in real time, ensuring that important discussions are captured without the need for a bot to join the teleconference. It prioritizes user privacy by processing all data locally on the device, allowing for secure handling of sensitive information. Users can easily access transcripts categorized by urgency and priority, along with summaries that distill the core points of each meeting.
Additionally, Epilude identifies actionable items and assigns accountability for follow-up tasks, streamlining the process of minute-taking. Each transcript is stored as a markdown file, providing flexibility for further editing before exporting to PDF. While the free version limits users to 1,000 words and 10 meeting notes, a full version is available through a one-time purchase or subscription, offering a comprehensive experience for those who frequently participate in virtual meetings.
