EphPod is a full-featured, easy-to-use Windows application that connects with Apple's iPod. With a FireWire card and EphPod on a PC, it takes under 30 minutes to transfer 1,000 songs to an iPod. In addition, EphPod supports standard WinAmp (.M3U) playlists, includes powerful playlist creation features, and will synchronize an entire music collection with one click. It imports Microsoft Outlook contacts, in addition to allowing users to create and edit their own contacts. EphPod can also download the latest news, weather, e-books, and movie listings to an iPod.

Summary
Playlists store information about where files are stored, meaning they have a hard-coded path, so the playlist is trying to play a file on your computer--instead of the iPod. Also, the applicaiton says its an iPod manager. It probably has been coded to clear your iPod's library so that it has original control over the files put on the iPod. This piece of software is essentially trying to replace the iTunes sync feature...not work alongside it.

I used this to copy a playlist to my ipod since I have some on my computer and don't want to rebuild them by hand. it seemed to work fine but when I disconnected the ipod all of my music was gone! I am very displeased with this piece of software.

i thought i downloaded a bad version of the program, but i clicked save changes to ipod... bad idea!! i had to restore it (which deletes everything) to make it work again. just don't click save

first used it and my ipod wouldnt start up then after about 4 weeks i tried restarted it using the usual centre button and menu and it didnt work its is actuall centre and play/pause please DONT use this software you ipod will break!

Gives you an easy way to back up some stuff off your ipod.

it only picks up .mp3 formats. no .m4a which means i had to go in and manually back up half my songs. doesn't do video files either.

Ephpod is great as long as you dont mess around with stuff. I only use it to extract songs from my ipod. I dont use it to sync or change any settings on my ipod. And you absolutely have to say "no" when it asks you if you want to save your changes. When you save your changes that is what screws with all the ipods. I saved changes one time and had to reformat my ipod. Ever since then i've never had a problem. So this is a great program, just dont mess around with it.

Worked once till it locked me out and i had to format my video ipod and reinstall the o/s. Thanks to apple for the restore program... The program is way to hard to use. Dont mess with any of the functions except the main one.. It will break your ipod...

This product destroyed my iPod. After using this product to add music to my iPod, it would no longer respond. There was nothing I could do to fix it. Good thing I had a waranty so I could get a new one!

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOUR IPOD, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM. IM NOT SAYING THIS IS INTENDED TO BE A BAD PROGRAM, FOOLISHLY ENOUGH, I TESTED THIS PROGRAM WITH MY 30 GB VIDEO IPOD JUST TO END UP THROWING IT OUT. I TRIED EVERYTHING TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY IPOD AND HOW I CAN FIX IT. MY IPOD COULD NOT START UP, IT KEPT RESTARTING AGAIN AND AGAIN. I TRIED RESETTING IT, DIDNT WORK. TRIED PUTTING IT IN DISK MODE, WOULDN'T WORK. I SPEND HOURS STRAIGHT HAVING TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT NOTHING WORKED. I KNOW IT MAY SEEM LIKE I KEEP GOING ON ABOUT IT, BUT THE FACT THAT $400 WENT DOWN THE DRAIN BECAUSE OF THIS PROGRAM REALLY TICKS ME OFF. MY ADVICE, DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM AT ALL.
