Endlesssoft Video Master for Windows

Endlesssoft Video Master is a simple program that allows users to download Flash videos from Web sites like YouTube and convert them into different file formats. Although there are plenty of other programs that have more features, Video Master provides a quick and easy way to download your favorite videos.

The program's interface is plain and fairly intuitive. Users simply click a button, paste the URL of the desired video into the dialog box that opens, and start downloading. The program saves the video as an FLV file, but it's easy to convert the file to another format by opening it in the Encode tab and selecting the desired file type. The program supports several conversion formats, including WMV, AVI, MP3, iPhone, and iPod. The program does not list MPG among its available file formats, but users can manually add this and other formats to the list, and the program will make the conversion successfully. By default, the program saves downloaded and encoded (converted) files in separate folders, making it easy to keep track of things. The program's online Help file (which opens in Internet Explorer whether you want it to or not) is brief, but offers adequate instructions for its use. Overall, we found Video Master to be quite easy and enjoyable to use. It's not quite as full-featured as other similar programs, but as a basic video downloader and converter, it works well.

Endlessoft Video Master is free. It installs desktop icons without asking but uninstalls cleanly. We recommend this program to all users.
