ULTRAMAIN efbTechLogs is the market leading regulatory authority approved-for-use aircraft electronic logbook (ELB) software which fully replaces the traditional paper logbook. efbTechLogs operates in conjunction with the iPad and has three separate clients, one for each role of the aircraft logbook process : ELB Flight, ELB Cabin and ELB Tech. ELB Tech is intended for maintenance crew use in conjunction with efbTechLogs for correcting reported defects.Each efbTechLogs client operates offline (with synchronization) or connected in conjunction with the ground based data gateway, efbGroundSystem. An efbGroundSystem server license is needed for efbTechLogs to operate, so before downloading ELB Tech please ensure your organization has a certificated efbGroundSystem server in operation.ELB Tech is the dedicated iPad client of efbTechLogs for line maintenance crew use on the ground. ELB Tech allows line maintenance technicians to see pilot write-ups and record maintenance actions, deferrals, and signoffs including the aircraft maintenance release (AWR) using an iPad. Maintenance crews can also record new defects found during post flight inspections and elsewhere. Technicians iPads connect to efbGroundSystem via iPad supported data communications. Via ELB Tech maintenance crews can view pilot reported problems while the aircraft is still inbound, even before it reaches the gate, allowing maintenance staff more time to prepare for corrective actions, including ordering parts, in advance of the aircrafts arrival. The ability to begin needed research and undertake action prior to aircraft arrival results in fewer maintenance delays and cancellations and faster fix times with fewer deferrals.ELB Tech provides maintenance crews powerful research tools resulting in the information they need to take the correct action including correlated maintenance history for the aircraft / component, or through efbGroundSystem, even across the fleet type. efbTechLogs connects with the aircraft MEL and other relevant documents, so the software gives maintenance personnel instant access to critical information as they need it. efbTechLogs incorporates data encryption, data compression, bit hashing, delivery ensured messaging, and much more in conjunction with efbGroundSystem. efbGroundSystem is designed to integrate with airline MRO/ M&E systems through an ATA SPEC2000 Chapter 17 interface (the chapter addressing logbook data).
