This simple but well-designed program ensures that your meetings and attendees stay on task. It offers an easy-to-navigate user interface that will appeal to all user levels.

Effective Meetings opens with a professional, straightforward user interface. Menu and command buttons run across the top of the window for creating new meeting agendas. The features are organized by categories that break down the meeting process (General, Attendees, Preparation, Agenda, and Minutes) and each can be accessed by either clicking the appropriate command button at the top or by clicking the appropriate tab at the bottom of the window. We quickly walked through the process of entering our meeting's name, purpose, desired outcome, and location. It was incredibly easy to create an agenda. All we had to do was enter a title, select the speaker (pulled from the attendee list) from a drop-down menu, and enter the number of minutes for each. When it came to publishing the meeting agenda, we checked off the items we wanted to include (minutes, tasks), added a custom logo, and chose a document format. Our agenda was saved as a PDF and looked extremely professional when printed.

The program does include a built-in Help feature, but it's not very detailed. However, the program is so easy to use that we doubt you'll need it. The 30-day trial is more than enough time to learn the program's ins and outs. We highly recommend this program for anyone looking to keep meetings productive.

Pros
As a very busy IT Manager, I have to arrange meetings and network far more than I would like to. Hence I purchased your software and I can produce meeting agendas for my staff or other managers in minutes, not hours. <p> <p>I have used your software to speed up what is to me a boring part of my job. Adding minutes can be done with the minimum of fuss and a quality report generated, distributed and filed when all is done. <p> <p>Very highly recommended!

A very professionally presented software application which provides many benefits when attempting to create a structured approach to meetings. <p> <p>Using the intuitive step-by-step interface, the software makes setting up a clearly thought out meeting agenda an easy and painless process. Recording minutes and follow-up tasks after the meeting is also a neat feature. <p> <p>Special mention must go to the documentation produced by the software (in either PDF or RTF format) The results look very professional, an important factor when passing on meeting agendas and minutes/tasks lists to colleagues and corporate partners in attendance at the meetings. <p> <p>Overall, a simple tool that has made a big impact on our business.

Allows organization of single meeting, with clear steps. Good use of minute feature, to add meeting info into agenda. Good structure of pdf form.

Info input for single meeting not available for other meetings (ie. you have to recreate the wheel for each meeting, and there is no status report feature to keep track of ongoing projects.) <p> <p>Definitely not a program for an organization or small business with standing meetings. <p> <p>Only real benefit to single meeting agendas, with no need to track action item status. <p> <p>The trial version, is only useful if you have less than 3 items to discuss at a meeting, and a limited number of people attending. <p> <p>I could not truly test the software with these restrictions, so I went ahead and purchased it. After using it for several meetings, and identifying the major flaws in the software and support, I attempted to return it. <p> <p>Tech support, although quick to respond, did not offer any solutions to these problems and refused to address the issue. <p> <p>Tech support refused, saying that "I appreciate your response but I do not see that the software's only limitation, restricting you to three meeting items, would've prevented you from determining whether or not the software fulfilled your requirements, specifically, the lack of a status report function that <p>compiles multiple meeting tasks into one area." <p> <p>So in other words, too bad. <p> <p>Unless you have very short term meeting needs, with no need to track action items, I would recommend staying away from this software.
