It seems the only thing that didn't make the transition from eBay.com is the clutter. If you get lost amidst the deep, but logically-appointed listings, the prominent Home button recenters you.

When you use eBay Desktop, you get instant alerts. This means the app tells you right away if you are outbid or if it's time to make a bid on an item. You won't miss out on winning an auction because the app keeps you informed. You can also search for items directly in the app. If you find something you like, you can bid on it or add it to your watch list without any extra steps. Managing your eBay account is easy too. The app allows you to change your settings and check your buying history without any hassle.

eBay Desktop puts all the necessary tools for buying and selling into one easy-to-use program. You don't need to open a web browser to use eBay, which saves time and simplifies your shopping. However, the official version was taken down from all marketplaces and it is currently not available.

I was very exited to install eBay Desktop and was up and running in no-time. I'm located on Aruba and S&H is very important to me as a buyer. On the Shipping-tab will display: (Just a sample): From USA to Aruba $3.20 while a real S&H is $27.50. I have to go to my browser to figure out the real S&H. If I was living on USA soil, I surely would rate it 5 stars.

Haven't played around with it yet but it appears to be pretty comprehensive for buyers and lookers.

Great shame it doesn't support eBay sellers, so if you sell and buy, you still need to go back and forth between different applications.

Just a heads up if you use the Paypal/Ebay Code keychain to sign in to Ebay, you cannot use this it will not recognize it. Also is no way to include this.

I was delighted to see find out this app existed as I am a huge eBay fan. I downloaded the app, clicked install and bang the lights went out. By this I mean my PC just shutdown instantaneously and restarted. On restart I was greeted with a message saying my computer recovered from a serious error! Foolishly I thought it was a one off occurrence and proceeded with another install and once I clicked the words 'Install', out the lights went again!
