With the right set of tools, anyone can create a professional-looking screensaver for personal use or to distribute online. Easy Screensaver Creator Standard offers a rich set of features toward that end, but a poorly designed interface keeps us from recommending it wholeheartedly. We found the program window unnecessarily small, often forcing us to scroll through our work. We also would like to see a feature allowing end users to customize the screensavers we created. However, the application does support almost all popular image formats, and can apply a number of attractive transition effects as the images move past. The software can output screensavers in the standard SRC format, create standalone executables or installers, and wrap products in shareware restrictions. With these features, Easy Screensaver Creator Standard may well be of use to shareware-screensaver creators, despite its interface flaws.
