  The nutritional info for not just the ingredients, but the whole dish! Great for people who are watching carbs, fat, sugars, etc! Plus, you can adjust the amount(s) of the ingredients for a larger family.

  Cons

  Not all preset recipes (at least in the free trial version) have the nutrition info programmed.

  Looks like they had something good going back a few years ago, but somewhere along the line they have stopped maintaining it.

  Cons

  Must be out of business. Last update on their recipe books is Jan 18, 2006. There is no support. Product is full of bugs. Importing their cookbooks requires over 40 individual small downloads that could easily be put into one file.

  Summary

  If you don't believe me go to their support forum and see what everyone else is saying. It looked good enough from first glance that I paid for it, but within one hour of using the registered product I knew I just threw away $35. Seriously, don't buy this!

  Very nice program. Looks to me (not a techy) to be the original from which Living Cookbook came from. (ERD is older). Almost identical but has a few extra features such as the much needed copy to clipboad. In a cookbook you can easily jump to a recipe by selecting the first letter in the recipe name from a bar above the list. Also clearly shows what cookbook you are currently using and how many recipes are in that book. Easy to use. I feel it is easier to use than Living Cookbook.

  This has the FDA list of food values for 1000's of items. Calories, carbs, fiber, sodium, fat, more. You can manually add items that are not already on the list. You can print out recipes with all that info right on them. This makes managing diet and nutrition remarkably easy. You can copy and paste recipes of the internet easily although you still have to enter the ingedients if you want the nutrition values. The program has an excellent auto-fill setup that will guess and fill in the blanks as you type, and remember stuff that you add. This save a lot of effort over other programs. You can resize any recipe. You can make a copy of any existing recipe. This is handy for changes. For instance, you might have granny's famous recipe stored,and you want to save that as is. Make a copy and change it to suit the ingredients you have on hand, or any "improvements" you can imagine on the copy. Grannies recipe remains safe. You can email recipies, sort by genre, ingredient, or type of cuisine. On the down side, there seems to be zero customer support. I emailed several times with a question and never got a reply. Overall, this is a great program. It has done more to help manage my diabetes (carb counting) than ANY thing else I've done. It can do the same for anyone with diabetes, weight, or other health concerns. It was easy to learn, and has been 100% stable on my WIN XP computer.
