E.M. Free Game Capture is designed to record the games and the variations of the desktop to various video files in different FPS (frames per second). The video formats contain avi, wmv, flv, mp4, mkv, and even certain popular ones which can play in iPod, iPhone. The software will make recording games more easier and convenient whenever you want to capture your favorite games. Frames per second can be set to the one you want and that depends on the 3D performance of your pc. Frames per second and hot key tips which used to start or stop record will show in the top-left corner of the game. So there is no need to exit the game if you forget how to start, stop your recording process. In the process of recording, hot key tip for screen shot is also shown on you in the top-left corner of the game, so a simple press of the keyboard will realtime save the image (.jpg) of the game to disk. Various video formats are available which including lossless ones. The default format for game is lossless avi, so if you select a different one from the default format, a converting dialog will pop up after you exit the game and activate the software. Then two video files with the default format and the selected format will be saved to the disk. Not only can the E.M. Game Capture capture games, but can record changes of the desktop. You can record wherever you want in your desktop in 3 different ways such as window, region and full screen.

This is not freeware: it requires you to pay about $30 to record faster than 15 frames per second. You can't even evaluate how it would handle anything beyond 15 fps unless you pay for it. It also caused my computer to crash twice. Not recommended!
Summary
This is in my opinion terrible software. It consistently caused Windows (Vista Home Premium) to freeze, and I had to restart my system twice. Furthermore, even if it would work, it requires the user to pay a fee (of about $30 if I recall) to record anything more than 15 fps. This is not freeware if you want its full functionality. The freeware version intentionally does not allow you to record anything beyond 15 fps, so why would anyone register it without being able to first evaluate it to see if it really can do what the fully registered version promises it can do? Not recommended.

It supports game capture and desktop capture with almost all video formats(FLV,H.264,WMV,3GP ,etc.).It is easy to record a game demo or any other video. this utility is so wonderful that I cannot leave it now
