  I strongly advise everybody to stay away from this product. It sent more than 2.700 of my unique emails to deletion - and that was the trial version that was supposed to not touch more than 10 mails at a time. I did not run it 270 times... It completely messed up my mailbox even though I ran it at the recommended, supposedly safe settings. My pst-file is huge and contains many old mails that have been imported through my Office updates but this program indiscriminately deleted both old and new.

  Pros

  Turns out I have 18000 emails with 8000 of them duplicates! The program ran through them pretty quickly, with a visual running list so you can "check as you go." Easy to use and comprehensive but ...

  The Free Trial only deletes 10 emails at a time, which is pretty lame. I'd like to see how it really works.

  Pros

  Once I finally got this working I found it was pretty much exactly what I needed. It provides a nice easy toolbar button to run the duplicate checker. Set it up to scan the folders you want duplicates removed from, tell it what to do with the duplicates and let it rip.

  Cons

  Had a lot of trouble getting it to accept my license key after I purchased it, went around with their support over a few days and eventually discovered that the version I just downloaded was an old version which was not compatible with the key I just purchased (??) They gave me a direct download link to latest version and voila!<p>I'm also not so fond of the folder selection interface, I'd really like to see an easy button that just checks the currently open folder for duplicates. This is really a very minor complaint though, if it had worked right away (or at least been fixed by their support team within 24 hours) I probably would be giving this 5 stars.

  Since eliminating the problem of receiving duplicate email messages via a POP3 email account at its source is not feasible, a good workaround that I've just found is MapiLab's Duplicate Email Remover Program. It scans the individually selected Outlook Folders, and moves the duplicates to a new "Duplicate Emails" folder that I've created. On a new dual-core centrino computer under Windows Vista Ultimate and Outlook 2007, it takes approx. 2 minutes to scan over 2000 messages, and move any duplicates found. <p> <p>I do have a library of 30,000+ outlook email messages that I've accumulated over 5 years amongst various archive .pst files, and it did take over 30 minutes to scan all of it. It did track down about 1500 dups, and moved them to the duplicate folder. I am pleased with it, and at $15 for a single-user license, the price is right.

  Cheaper. Inlude their other duplicate program to search for other duplicates together with this program. I think it is pointless to have two separate plug-ins other than to make more money.
