Although we find it tough to come down too hard on a free screensaver, this canine-themed offering could still use some work. True to its name, DoggieFlics - Dachshund Sample delivers a selection of high-quality images of both adult and juvenile dachshunds. The one exception is a shot of a furry tan pooch that looks like some sort of terrier. We can only assume the dog is part dachshund or that the developer made a mistake. Although the program includes transition effects, you can't select them yourself or determine the interval between images. In fact, the ability to mute the audio is the only configuration option you'll find, and in our tests, we heard no sound no matter what we did. Nevertheless, dachshund owners or those with a soft spot for the breed probably won't mind most of this free screensaver's missteps.

Pros
Very cute pictures of a variety of different dachshunds. By the way, the one that another reviewer thought was a terrier or terrier mix is in fact a wire-haired dachshund.

I think the photos are terrific. the "strange looking" one that someone thought was a mixed breed is a Wirehaired Daschund. I fully support the work that you are doing. Would like to see more in the same vein. My favorate is the dogs on the steps. It looks like it could have come from my album.I have had Doxies for many years. and could not imagine a house without them. <p> Thanks and keep up the good work.

Pros
The pictures are darling. However a previous rating says that there is a tan terrior looking dog included. This is not true. That is a wire haired dachshund. There are 3 classifications in both the standard and mini dachshunds. Smooth (short haired) Long Hair and Wire Hair
Cons
One or two of the pictures are not too dark to really see detail.
