Strange creatures suddenly appear in an already lush flora and fauna, and lands appear in places where there used to be absolutely nothing. Expansive Strategy RPG. Bright and colorful, it will keep you coming back for more. It is creative in it's parody and low brow toilet humor. Relatively balanced, and much of the game is controlled by it's players. Impressive systems of MMOSRPG.
Cons
Much of the game requires you p2p, which is not expensive. However, sometimes it is troublesome to find a method that works TO pay. Ankama has a bad record when it comes to customer service, a big disappointment as in the past they were top notch.
Summary
I have been a long time player of Dofus, since it's beta days. In that time I have seen it's ups and downs, in's and outs. While the game itself is cheap to subscribe to, some people may have a hard time doing so. Classes are balanced, and rebalanced, which is good and bad, as it can destroy months, even years of work. Ankama has a tendency to fail in customer support. Tickets go unanswered, or poorly answered. Because the company is french, they tend to cater to their culture above all others. Meaning of course certain things their community gets to enjoy first, at all, or ever.
Servers do have moments of lag and unplanned downtime. This can be from a random DDoS attack, faulty lines, or their poor host. On the subject of servers, there are several servers dedicated to the french community, however no where near as many for other communities. Yet, the english and international servers are often flooded with french players.
PVP is always in debate between those who participate one way, and those who participate another. Forced PVP is light, and players can opt out of it somewhat. I say somewhat since those who opt out, can under the circumstances be thrown into a forced pvp fight. With the release of the 'Heroic' server that has become a problem, one that Ankama has determined to be a draw to the server as upon death, the character is returned to level 1 and all items they have are given to the victor.
The community is three side. You will of course have your jerks, perverts, elitists, and arrogant members. Unfortunately they tend to be everywhere you look, both in and out of the subscriber area. All servers suffer from spam bots and gold farmers, though Ankama has said they are dedicated to stamping that out. However, no progress seems to be made against intelligent bot owners who work around it.
Elitist behaviour is usually redirected to fansites where they can live in their cesspool. In game however, it overflows into pvp, arguments, and general group disloyalty and infame.
Musically, the game is pleasing. For all of 5 minutes. Constant loops, some of which have not been updated since beta, start as enjoyable and fitting. However they become annoying and many players shut them off. Sound effects tend to fit, however, in some clients, it is delayed. Again, some players tend to shut them off. This also turns of the alerts, so not as many like to for extended periods of time.
The story is....well okay at best. Riddled with bad humour, almost face-palm worthy parodies and references; it can't be taken seriously. As it is, the story gets beaten down by content. Not all of the game's namesake, Dofus, are obtainable.
Classes are imaginative, even if some of them are ripped off and recoloured of other popular characters be it in Anime, or even other video games. For example, the Osa class is closely modeled after Disegea characters. Although classes have set abilities, players can determine how they will be played, and new builds and strategies are constantly being discovered.
The game itself is worth a shot, and has limited f2p to try that shot. Give it try, and who knows, maybe you will get addicted.
A verry fun game for any anime lover

Pros
Pros:It can run on older pcs, and the art is pretty cool. The characters are interesting, and have unique spells/abilities.
Cons
Cons:I spent about 3 weeks playing this game, and there is one consistent nuisance that has discouraged further play. There are "collecters" called Perceptors, placed by a guild(usually high level)that steal xp and resource/item drops. They are only able to be killed by extremely high level characters. The "philosophy" of Dofus as quoted by a forum Mod regarding Perceptors is "might makes right". This Dark Ages ideology disregards new, low level players who may want to subscribe by allowing high level guilds to steal from them during the process of leveling in choice areas. These nuisances are EVERYWHERE in this game(especially in places where groups of creatures exist that render great xp). In terse, it ruins the game, and it is a aspect of the game that needs to just...disappear. Consider this before playing this game.

Great Little Browser-Based MMORPG

Pros
Dofus is genuinely cross-platform, low maintenance and beautifully designed. The character-classes are all a little out-of-the-ordinary and quirky which makes for a more original experience than run-of-the-mill orcs and elves tripe. If you are a fan of older 16-bit turn-based RPG games and always wondered what it would be like to play them with hundreds of others ... This could be for you. I'd never have time for WoW or similar games but I can dip into Dofus and have a quality MMO experience for next to nothing.
Cons
There's still a fair bit of grind. It's unavoidable and there could be more done in the area of engaging Quests and Dungeons. They do seem to keep improving things but the worry is that their attention will switch to the forthcoming Wakfu.

Cons
The bad things with this game is - the area where you can play is to small, if you want to play on a bigger area you have to pay real money to upgrade to a full membership

Neat flash game
ckon
Pros
Its a neat game created with flash, which is impressive; flash is usually just used for web design. The graphics are pretty cool looking very cartoon like. Its a medium sized world to explore with alot of quests and lvls. Its a very original world and class system, not your basic run of the mill D&d stuff.
Cons
I stopped playing because of harrassment issues. No matter if i created a new character with a new name this one person always knew who i was and would stalk me and was always trying to get me to come to his apartment i assume he worked for teh company that made the game otherwise how could he know who i was even if i made a completly new character.

The company that designed it also has no naming policy, there were names like Time Shitter, Fukme, DrunkGirl, or cocainefeen and other inappropriate names that arent suitable for children playing the game. Its too bad

Plagiarism is BAD
Zhandy
Pros
Not a bad game as such, although got rather stale very quickly.
Cons
Intellectual Property Theft, anyone? There's art all over the place that rips off art from existing games- for example, the monster tamer is traced straight from a picture of Etna from Disgaea. Theft is bad, mm'kay?
Summary
For some not all
AOO
Pros
Music: Well, it's not bad, but then again it's nothing spectacular. Songs and sound effects are recycled ad nauseum in mostly midi, sound wise, becoming enough to set a small tone, but quickly becomes annoying. Sound effects are humorous and many are done well. A few qualms with some sound effects being so high pitched that it makes your skin crawl. Characters do have small voices, but nothing more than a grunt, a scream, or some weird mumbling. Not that impressive, but effort was shown.

Graphics: Lush environments and breathtaking areas, Dofus does not have. Sprites and set enviroments is what this flash game has. While you won't find great graphical effects, you also won't find too many problems with the graphics fitting the setting. Enter into a forest, there will be trees strewn about. Near the coast, and you'll see a bit of ocean. It's far from 3-D, and the 2.5 top down view does improve on the lack of that much. Characters: Well, they didn't break the mold with these characters, but credit where credit is due, they did a good job with them. Each class has a unique appearance, attacking type, their own spells, and special uses. 11 classes to choose from, with a sex selection for each. You can change the color scheme of your character to suit your tastes as well.

Game play: FF Tactics, anyone? This game is basically that with some extra feature. The entire game world is cutup into squares. There is no real free roaming atmosphere so to speak, as you just go to one map transfer point and move to the adjacent square. It can be a arduous task to travel long distances, but that is aided by Zaaps; which take you to certain locations for a fee. Battles take place after either clicking on a creature or being aggro'd by one. Customer Service: If there is one thing they can do right, it would be CS. If you have a problem, sending a support ticket often solves it in

under a few days. While they don't always understand because of the language differences, they do try and will do their best to assist you.
Cons
Free to Play: Limited free to play actually. You are restricted from certain things if you have not payed to play. One restriction is not being able to leave the free area. You can mind you, but you will not be able to do anything other than walk and talk. Also, you have lowered chances to actually gain any rare items. Some quests require that you be p2p, and many jobs are hindered by the lack of higher resources. Add to that leveling beyond a certain level is near impossible without p2p.

Elitism: If you've heard the term you already know what it means. Those who are higher and stronger prey on and take advantage of anyone lower than them. These people gain a following and soon become the titans of the game, either advancing there aggressions on lower levels, or in rare cases actually attempting to help the game. Community-wise, this game suffers are only 20% of the community actually is friendly and respectful.

Balance: There is no real balance to Dofus. In most games, there is a general since of rock scissors paper, but in this there is not. Many classes are overpowered, other underpowered. Many of the equipments and items benefit only certain classes, while others have to struggle. Some spells are extremely overpowered, while others have no real purpose.
