You can also view your DNG files in Windows 7 Media Center. Easily manage digital assets from Windows Explorer without having to launch another application. You can take advantage of the advanced search capabilities of Vista to search for DNG files based on metadata.

Solid black thumbnails in Vista

Pros
Easy install, does render some thumbnails, and enables preview mode to read dng files. Didn't cause my system to repeatedly crash, like the last dng codec I tried using.
Cons
More than half of my thumbnails showed up only as solid black panels. Since the primary purpose for me to download the program was to quickly see thumbnails without entering Photoshop or Lightroom, this codec is useless to me. YMMV.
Summary
Performance probably depends on your OS and system--but there's no way I'll be paying $30 for this.

Pros
Simple install. All of my .dng files showed up as thumbnails in my viewer. It's the only dng codec i have found
Cons
Seems a shame to pay $30 for a codec I only need because I bought a new camera.
Summary
As long as you don't mind the $30 price tag, It does ecactly what it's supposed to.
