  I might have given it a try if it wasn't bundled with Malware. I am wondering who submitted those 5 stars comments. I'd give it 0 if I could.

  Bundled with Malware!

  Summary

  Downloaded and install this last night. Malwares were bundled with this download. Spend hours to remove the malware. I might need to re-image my computer. I should have read "Bloatware ruins product. BEWARE" comment. As that comment has said, it is not only just Bloatware, it is bundled with Malware. It would have saved me a lot of time and pain. I will never download anything from CNET again.

  Pros

  It works much better than any other decompiler. It takes only a few mouse clicks to get the application up and running.

  Cons

  I haven't experienced any glitches with DJ Java Decompiler.

  For those who left the negative review: All files (incl. the Installer) are digitally signed with VeriSign (Symantec) Digital ID.

  The decompiler worked well.

  Cons

  Installed a bunch of bloatware sneakily during installation that is difficult to remove. Good job developers.

  I would have purchased this program because it fits my needs. But screwing up my development environment is infuriating... thanks Atanas Neshkov. DO NOT USE THIS. It is ridiculous that apps can do this and I will never download something from CNET again.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Aug 30, 2013<p/>Malware not "bloatware". It crashed my computer and destroyed my Windows 7 installation. Do not download this.

  Decompiled my exact code

  None. There was no problem at all.

  Summary

  I accidentally lost my .java file (due to a weird dropbox glitch) after I had already compiled and tested it. I needed to turn it in for homework ASAP. This wonderful program brought back my whole file, comments and all. I was worried it wouldn't when a post online said it would get "some" of the file back. It was complete. Run on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

  Pros

  Free trial works perfectly. Win7-64 gave me no trouble with it. I can only assume people that had trouble with it are not full admins on their machines... perhaps in a corporate lock-down environment? Anyway, not a single problem for me.

  Cons

  None so far.

  Summary

  Does exactly what is says it does, and does it well. It's fast, too. I will be buying a full license for this.

  apparently its not free any more (if it ever was).

  This is by far the best java decompiler I have ever used. The free trial totally works. If you have troubles, its 100% operator error.

  Will not allow access - even to the 'free trial' - without a valid (and purchased) serial number to first activate the software license.

  Summary

  Whether the software itself is good or not, I shall never know. I am not willing to blindly pay for a full version when I am also being denied a supposedly available free trial period. For this reason, I have given a 1 star rating.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Apr 30, 2011<p/>Turns out, the free trial can be activated by specifically running the program as an administrator. This is not immediately apparent anywhere and may well not occur to most people - thereby forcing them to make the payment or look elsewhere. My 1 star rating remains because of this, though the software itself does the job pretty well.

  Non, software is adamant that it contact its developer before you can try it

  Cons

  I don't like applications that demand that you allow it to contact its developer before it allows you to proceed. Too bad, who knows what it is trying to send about your computer, I uninstalled it before trying.

  Summary

  Some people don't mind allowing applications to freely contact their developers, others like me, set up their firewall to prevent unknown applications access to the internet.

  Easy to use. Free trial is available. No need to pay anything at all~ Now i can do my work from the .class file i got... lol

  Summary

  Great. For those who left NEGATIVE review, they just don't know how to use/install it. Actually it is very easy, you don't have to do anything more than installing the program. If you have problems, that means, 1. You are using College/University's computers that prevent student to install things. 2. You or your family/friends set you as a USER at the computer you are using. 3 Anything else should be related to your computer setting rather than the program itself!... lol
