Ditto is an open source extension to the standard Windows clipboard. It saves each item placed on the clipboard allowing you access to any of those items at a later time. Ditto allows you to save any type of information that can be put on the clipboard, text, images, HTML, custom formats. Features include easy to use interface, search previous copy entries, saves any type of information that can be put on the clipboard, keep multiple computer's clipboards in sync, data is encrypted when sent over the network, send individual clips to other computers, accessed from tray icon or global hot key, assign hot keys to specific copy entries, checks for updates automatically, select entry by double click, enter key or drag drop, very handy tool, paste into any window that excepts standard copy or paste entries, and display thumbnail of copied images in list.

It pastes back what you copy

Lets say you copy 5 things and want to paste them back. You click on the system tray icon and it pops up. You click on the thing you want to paste. It disappears. You click on the system tray icon again..... It drives you nuts. Then you copy some pictures - You cnt tell which is which - they look sme

Whoever programmed this knows how to save the clipboard to disk and get it back later. He has no idea how to make a useful user interface like the Spartan Multi-Clipboard
Reliable and fast clipboard manager

Pros
Ditto is fast, does not consume a lot of memory. The appearance can be customized. Easy to access and use with the help of keyboard shortcuts. You can paste a number of items in one go, great if you are creating a list. Pasting plain-text or text with its original formatting is a matter of holding down the Shift key - could not be easier.
Cons
Some feature bloat? Perhaps some teams need a shared clipboard with synching over the network - I don't. I'd like for it to be possible to create rules for replacing text in copied snippets with the help of regex. Tag scrubbing would be a nice feature.

sometimes i would like to see all the clips history in a big form not only in the corner of the screen, to see how much time i spent on certain tasks by comparing times of clipboard for example

Pros
Been using Ditto for about four years. Never had a problem with it. It provides huge peace of mind. If a web page ever locks up, I always have a copy of what I wrote in Ditto. Same thing for so many emails or items of importance that I am too afraid to lose is something goes haywire. Not that this review is anything all important, but I will copy my review to my clipboard in case this web page gacks. This keeps me from losing what I write; here and on the rest of the web.
Cons
Wish it was updated more frequently, but I can easily forgive that. Ditto is very stable and allows me to work with peace of mind.
Summary
I have Ditto installed on all my machines (5 or so). This is from WinXP, Windows Server 2008, Vista and Win8. No problems whatsoever.

Pros
The most important feature: Groups of permanent items There are many options for the user interface. To start using it: Copy some items in sequence, press F7 and have them assigned in a new group!
Cons
Adding items to an existing group is a cumbersome one-by-one process. Sorting order is strictly time-of-entry based, no manual reorder.
Summary
Ditto really has everything I need. But given there are many good tools on the net (I use ArsClip at home, but must switch to Ditto in the office), some quirks in the daily usage experience can make a difference.

Pros
It works. It simply keeps a record for your copy/cut activity. It has a short cut so that you can quickly pull up information, scroll through it, and paste it.
Cons
The separate window. I have gotten use to Jumpcut for Mac where the list comes from the taskbar icon as a dropdown. Also, the font used in the viewer is not very smooth looking.
Summary
It does what it should. I wonder if there are any other comparable products out there. This is basically the only one I found - this should be a basic feature in Windows.

Pros
I've been using this for more than a year. It's simple and easy to use -- you call it up with an easy keyboard combination. You can either paste formatted or paste as text. I find it really useful for collecting citations from websites.
Cons
Sometimes decides to copy something 10 times instead of once. This is a minor irritant because you can just delete the extra entries. Occasionally it refuses to paste an entry, closing the window and reopening it solves that problem.

Pros
installs easy, no noticeable performance impact, captures clipboard items, allows me to group them together, can paste as text only, configurable hot key support, supports many times of data, has a share option which I have never used.
Cons
Twice in the last 6 months I have seen it quit responding to my hot key request, I just restarted ditto, and it started working again.
