DH Texas Poker lets you challenge your friends, the computer, or people from all over the world to a game. It moves a little more slowly than some other Poker apps, but the competition can be fierce.

The game lets you play as a guest, but you have to register to unlock the best experience. You can sign up with the developer to track your performance across all of its games, but it's easier to connect via Facebook. Once you've set that up, you can change your name and choose one of a handful of avatars to represent your player. If you're in a full game, the timer seems to take forever to get to your turn. Luckily, the game will buzz you when it's time to call or raise, so you don't have to stare at it while you wait. That's a relief, because DH Texas Poker doesn't have the most exciting layout, and you can't really change it. The skill level of the game's community is remarkably high, though. That means you'll always have a great game, whether you're playing with friends or strangers.

This app is really useful for raising your skills, but it's not the best experience you'll have playing cards in an app. Download DH Texas Poker if you want a challenge, but stick with other, more popular card apps if you want a treat for your eyes.
