Formed in 1999 by David "RM" Michael and Douglas "Dug" Michael, Samu Games is dedicated to creating Internet-based, multi-player games. Samu Games has produced Paintball NET, an online paintball game that was online for over 4 years, and Artifact, which has been online and growing since 1999. Samu Games has also created a game for Sierra Online, but due to licensing issues, the game was not released.DavidRM has been programming and developing software since 1987. DavidRM currently calls himself "an independent software developer" and devotes his time to Samu Games and DavidRM Software. He is the author of The Indie Game Development Survival Guide and has also written articles for GameDev.NetDug, an electrical engineer by degree, has been programming and developing for 17 years, 13 of those for multi-player games. Dug currently works as a web applications developer.
