We like to think of ourselves as "the little software company that could". Because we keep very low overheads and aren't greedy we're able to give away much of what we develop and periodically receive donations for our work. This is fine. We give first, then we receive. It's a good way to live.
Of course we get paid for our larger projects but sometimes the smaller guy can use a leg-up. So why not give him a bundle of software that could help to create a bit of income for his family.
