Maverick Synth is the brainchild of myself, synthesizer designer and composer, Chris Pidd. Based in the city of York, England, I have spent many years working in high technology music and many, many hours thinking about musical sounds - the way they're created and the way they are played.
A life long interest in electronic music and the nature of musical sound led me to gain an MSc in Music Technology from York University.
I have designed synthesizers and sound processing gear for Novation and then Redsound.
Above all, I have spent many, many hours thinking about musical sounds - the way they're created and the way they are played. Maverick Synth is the result.
Maverick Synth exists because I believe MUSIC MATTERS. I believe that music should be exciting - music should have attitude.
Maverick Synth aim to produce a range of electronic music products to fulfil these ambitions. Starting with The Pulsor VSTi synthesizer and the Sample Grabber sample extractor.
