webEdition Software GmbH was founded in April 2003. Financed by venture capital, the company employs a workforce of 30, and has traded under the name living-e since June 2006.
The company\'s products are also sold in other European countries and in North America. The key software product of living-e AG is the web content management system webEdition, which is notable for its simple and intuitive user guidance, its immediate usability (out-of-the-box), freely accessible source code and an above-average price/performance ratio. Over 35,000 licences have been sold to date for the web CMS.
