Based on the Unreal Tournament engine, this epic game delivers all elements of a superb rpg and enhances it with brute force mentality. Play as a strategic problem solver that picks locks, sneaks past guards in the dark, and hacks computer systems; or try frontal assaults with bullets and rockets blazing. Listen to characters throughout the game to uncover conspiracies, but decide who you can trust.Deus Ex was designed with the player in mind. Completely explore and effect your environment, from the cigarettes and beer on the ground to computers and weapons of your opponents. Traverse the globe to real world locations from Washington to New York, Paris, Tokyo, the Taj Mahal, Area 51, New Orleans and even Hong Kong. Determine your skills and the type of game you want to play. Make decisions on items and conversations that will determine your character's personality and how the story will unfold.Lead designer Warren Specter of Ion Storm is making sure that this is one of his best projects to date. Deus Ex is scheduled to be released for the Mac in late June, early July. Westlake Interactive will be working on optimizing this huge game so it runs flawlessly on Macs that meet minimum requirements. Currently, the game is single-player only. Tentatively, multiplayer capability will be released as an update or a sequel. Although minimum system requirements are not yet set, it will require hardware acceleration and at least a G3/G4 processor.
