Decorate your desktop with adjustably transparent holiday lights.

Desktop Decorations 2006 is an updated version of our 2004 program which displays holiday lights across the top of your desktop while you work. Because the lights are adjustably transparent, you can still see your work behind them. When your mouse comes near to a light, it quickly rises up out of view so as not to interfere. Desktop Decorations 2006 offers six different themes for decoration options: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, Easter, Valentines, and Christmas Lights.

I downloaded it just for a decoration, but the lights are actually really fun to play with. While I'm on the phone, I constantly find myself playing little games with my mouse making the lights appear and disappear.
