This application creates encrypted folders that appear as normal drives, but some may have difficulty using it on USB drives. Dekart Private Disk Light's novice-friendly interface needs only four buttons to run all features. The utility creates AES 128-bit encrypted vaults that appear as a password-protected file when dismounted. We were pleased it took us a mere two minutes to create 1GB of virtual drive. We assigned our own custom disk letter to it and formatted it using NTFS or FAT. While the program is running, the encrypted drive mounts as a removable disk. We found no system slowdown for normal disk operations. Locking your data from prying eyes is a simple one-click process to close the drive. Dekart's Private Disk drives operate exactly like regular drives. If you format or delete a drive, you'll lose all the data enclosed. We found this program failed to work on some USB drives when we weren't logged in with Administrator's rights. Overall, this freeware is a good choice for users who need only a simple secured drive for day-to-day use.

Didn't work at all. Clicked program and nothing.
Brain_BusterJanuary 28, 2015
Pros
It didn't ignite my laptop.
Cons
Be very careful when downloading anything from cnet.com. Always choose "Custom installation" instead of "Recommended installation," otherwise cnet will change everything in your computer from your default search engine (setting it to Yahoo search), and also install Pro PC Cleaner popups galore. Also, this program did not work. After installing it, I clicked on the program and it said something Error, and probably I need admin permissions, even though I am the admin.
Summary
I think 90% of the junk I download from Cnet is bloated with popups and unwanted changes to my pc.
Excellent program!!! Have been using for years!!!

Pros
free, easy to use, fast, very functional, bug free, very stable (still works even when other programs or Windows freeze)
Cons
NONE AT ALL!
Summary
its a pity that i submitted reviews for other programs and havent done it for this program yet. i hide all important stuff like personal files and porn ;) in this programs' files. in windows explorer they appear like extensionless files (or you can give them any extension) until you load them. i love this program and i've been using for years, my apologies for not submitting this review earlier, i took it for granted.
