DEATH STRANDING ODRADEK transforms Tokyo into an augmented reality experience, allowing players to engage in delivery missions inspired by the Death Stranding universe. Developed as an experimental prototype for the Kojima Productions 10th Anniversary Exhibition, this mobile application utilizes ARCore technology and Niantic's Lightship platform to create immersive gameplay. Players interact with the Odradek scanner and cargo, navigating real-world locations to complete tasks that resonate with the franchise's themes of connection and exploration.

The app focuses on GPS-enabled missions that encourage users to scan their environments and check in with cargo or BBs at specific points. Designed primarily for exhibition attendees, the experience is heightened by real-time interactions with other players in shared AR spaces, enhancing the social aspect of gameplay. While the visuals are high-quality and the sound design authentic, the limitations of location-based play mean that users outside the exhibition area will find the app's functionality restricted.
