• Fantastic and a must have!

  The software works well on windows 10 x64. I like anonymity. I can connect up to five devices, including my android devices. It is reliable for me. A price I can afford, I paid $69.60 for two years on a promo.

  Probably the best VPN out there for the money....

  Cons

  NOT compatible with Microsoft's latest .Net 4.7 update!!!! Cyberghost code writers take note please correct this issue.

  Summary

  Cyberghost as well as most other VPN's will not work with Microsofts latest .NET 4.7...beware that download will make many of your programs non startable.

  Download ran smoothly, uninstall worked OK

  When it claimed I was now connected at Manchester UK, it actually connected me t Jerusalem, Israel. Not very useful for picking up the BBC ! Subsequently it also claimed it had connected me to Manchester but the IP address was London (but still no BBC connection). So they are either unreliable or dishonest, eitherway I would not trust them with my connection and certainly not pay for their service.

• Uninstall ability removed from version 5.5

  As noted by other reviewers, long wait for your turn to connect to a server. Ability to remove the program is not present in version 5.5, making this essentially malware. Revo Uninstaller can't even remove it, saying there is no data for attempting an uninstall.

• CyberGhost is a Scam

  Many servers in a few powerful countries such as US and UK although those in other countries are almost always busy even if you're subscribed.

  Cons

  Extremely bad customer support of a company called cleverbridge handles this. They do not understand English so you have to email them several times just to make a simple point clear, otherwise they just ignore your pressing enquiries. Also, CyberGhost is very poor at troubleshooting and hardly ever respond to the tickets you lodge in their site.

  Summary

  Not recommended at all. Their servers are often busy even if you're subscribed and their Premium Plan is fraudulent because once you make payment and try logging in, you find yourself get logged out instantly and will not get any real support from them.

  I have been using CyberGhost for 2 years or so and it has been reliable although I cannot tell how protective it is of surfing activity monitoring. The problems arose when I bought a second subscription for another computer and then CyberGhost would not give me premium access to either subscription. I cannot log in to CyberGhost on my PC even though my username and password is recognised by the CyberGhost online. Bizarre, but even though I wrote 6 times to CyberGhost customer services, all I got in response was direction to standard troubleshooting web pages. I have had to ask for a refund and cancel my subscriptions as a consequence and I don't understand why CyberGhost thinks it's OK to lose customers like this. They don't seem to care, so I shall look for another VPN.
