What a piece of crap

This is NOT a WYSIWYG editor. If you're looking for one go elsewhere.
Summary
Let it be known that I am NOT a code writer but Idid make my own website several years ago with an HTML editor that's no longer available. Unfortunately the people who come up with this stuff seem to thank they have to change things all the time and can't leave anything alone! About this "Crimson" piece of crap...............The very first thing I did on it was to insert an "Under Construction" GIF I found on the net, expecting to see it onscreen, but all that showed up was HTML code! Now pardon the crap out of me, but isn't a WYSIWYG editor supposed to show you what you out there, instead of showing the code? Well, my old editor did and THAT is what I'm looking for!!! It's a shame that everyone who makes these programs thinks that everyone already knows HTML but if we did why would we be looking for something that says "WYSIWYG"??

I've been using this program for about 15 years, have tried some other editors briefly, but it is really a joy to use this editor. I have no complaints at all or even feature requests. The only thing that I've ever wanted it to do, that it doesn't, is to be able to drag and drop the filename tabs at the top of the page to reorder them so you can work on similar files in one area. But if you just close the files you are not currently using, it fixes that issue. If you are looking for an editor, try this one first. If you like it, donate to the author on the Crimson Editor homepage. I do every few years as I appreciate what he has created for us all.

Pros
Handles all of my web coding needs in one easy to use, all inclusive program. I still prefer other software for developing offline and mobile apps, but Crimson is great for web development. It is very powerful and highly customizable.
Cons
As far as I know, it is no longer officially supported, so it will likely become outdated eventually. Other than that, my only big gripe is that I still haven't figure out a way to easily rearrange the order of my tabs. That is a minor inconvenience though, and easily overlooked with all of the positive Crimson Editor brings to the table.

This program handles many different languages so I can easily switch between CSS, PHP and JS. Great for any web developer due to its excellent handling of SFTP.

I use this editor to view and edit all of my web needs and designs. It works with everything I use in webdesign. It is the most complete and friendly editor I have ever experienced.

If you use different editors for different jobs, then drop them all and use this editor. This is an amazing program. I highly recommend it to all users. I don't write many reviews, but I came here specifically to write this one. Absolutely one of the few programs I use regularly and one that I depend upon. I don't know what I would do without it, now that I have becomed hooked. Thank You!

-It's FREE!! (actually if this becomes commercial, I think it would cost around $60 or more! thank god it's not)<p>-easy to use. clean interface. no annoying things<p>-amplified w/ monstrous FEATURES (and it's better than commercial ones)<p>-edit remote files directly using built-in FTP client! (actually this is the best feature for me. why? it eliminates the need for FTP client like Filezilla or Smart FTP. this is very useful when u r constantly making an update to ur webpage on the fly! making this the only editor you'll ever need!)<p>-of course my BIG thanks goes to INGYU KANG. my hats off to him ^_^
