Collage FX Studio for Windows

Collage FX Studio is a fun and intuitive program that allows users to create collages and other custom images. We don't tend to get terribly excited by this sort of program, but Collage FX Studio had so many cool, easy-to-use features we couldn't stop playing with it.

The program's interface is sleek and relatively intuitive. Users can import their own images to work with, or just start with a blank background in any color. From there, it's easy to add, remove, and adjust images, which can be decorated with a variety of cute frames. The really fun thing about this program is its brush feature. It's similar to that of programs like MS Paint, but instead of tools like pencil, brush, and airbrush, users can choose from a wide array of images, including animals, flowers, insects, and music- and holiday-themed items. Users can adjust the opacity, size, and angle of each image, and just like with any other sort of brush feature, users can drag the cursor to create layers of color. This feature alone makes the program worthwhile; we could spend hours creating scrapbook-style pages decorated with these images. The program also includes a variety of masks and clipart to add to the fun. The program's online Help file is straightforward, although we didn't have much need for it.

Collage FX Studio has no time limitation on its trial, but it does print a watermark on images created using the trial version. The program installs desktop icons without asking and leaves a file behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.
