• Installs Easy, Just doesn't work.

  Installation producd no errors and rlatively simple to follow

  Cons

  Fails to work with IIS7. Trying dozens of recommendations online to fix problems. The fact that there are so many solutions (that don't work) should be s clear sign that Adobe and Microsoft don't work well together.

  Summary

  Still searching for a solution to getting any version of ColdFusion 2016, 11, 9, 7 (MX) to work.

  Pros

  - ColdFusion sites run super fast on this - Native Connection to Java AND .Net - Great ExtJS Ajax integration - Create & Rearrange PDFs, PDF Forms - Print directly to printers and view queues - Create Excel Spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations

  Cons

  Until recently you had to buy it, however now there are Open Source Versions like Railo (getrailo.org) or Open Bluedragon (openbd.com) to get you going for free!!

  Summary

  ColdFusion is one of the most exciting web application products on the market today. Sites like MySpace run on it and every one of the Fortune 500 use it. As it connects both to Java and .Net natively it can talk with anything. I'm loving it... Adobe really pulled out the stops for this version!

  Cons

  Some of the slowest sites on the Internet seem to be Cold Fusion sites. If you're struggling to get a site to load, check to see if it has a cfm extension onthe page. Bingo! <p> <p>Very expensive as well.

  Pros

  Not only can you develope coldfusion applications, but you can install third party frameworks like fuse box - and with MX 7 you coldfusion can use all of your EJB's and have them accessible to others who might not have the time or experience to code in JAVA to EJB's

  Cons

  Documentation was a little lacking...wish they had more examples showing how you can create PDF and FlashPaper documents on the fly and how you can dynamically populate Flash files with data and consumables.
