Editors’ Review
Clips for iOS enables you to make and share quick, fun, and effects-filled videos.
Pros
Easy to start: Just press the big, red "Hold To Record" button to begin your recording. Pinch and drag while recording to smoothly zoom and pan. You can also use an existing photo or video from your Photos library.
Facile cutting and reordering: Tap the scissors button to begin trimming your clip. Then just drag the playhead arrows to the desired start and stop positions to shorten your clip. You can also easily reorder multiple clips via swiping.
Muting: You can mute a clip after recording by pressing the sound button.
Live Titles: The Live Titles feature lets you speak titles and captions that appear in the video as soon as you say them. Choose your preferred style and, if needed, tap any Live Title to adjust text or punctuation or add inline emoji.
Many more effects: Use the top menu bar to add a mix of text types, filters, timestamps, titles, and music tracks that adjust to match your video length.
Intelligent sharing: Over time, Clips will learn the identities of those you record and share with most and begin autosuggesting them as recipients when you're sharing. Of course, you may also post videos to your favorite social sites, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Vimeo.
Cons
Not for professional use: Clips is a lightweight video editor, so don't expect to find the robust feature set you'd find in iMovie or Final Cut Pro.
Bottom Line
Clips for iOS is a fun, lightweight video editor that you'll certainly enjoy.
