A primary goal in creating the program was to encourage understanding of the design process for structural steel members rather than to obscure the process by the manipulation of complicated formulae. The program evaluates and displays all required calculations in a completely transparent manner.

""Various steel shapes can be filtered by depth, weight, width, etc., and the performance of the selected groups of shapes can be visualized against each other along with the design loads. A comprehensive code check is done on the selected section and all detailed calculation is presented in a html-based report.
