I had tried Checkfront a few years ago and it wasn't a fit (missing a few key features for me) but thought I'd give them another shot after reading a couple of recent reviews. Boy was I blown away. The product is 10X what it was just a few years ago. What I liked: Wordpress plugin; lots of included addons like Mailchimp, Google docs, Tripadvisor; comprehensive support docs and reactive support agents; less expensive and more feature-packed than anything else I've tried; PARTNER ACCOUNTS!!

Didn't realize how bad this site is until I started using another that is excellent. This is an amateur booking engine full of problems and glitches.
Checkfront Falls Below Expectations

Had a poor experience with Checkfront on a simple thumbnail image issue. The images for the reservation system were not uploading correctly & it has been open for over a month and is still unresolved. Rather than fixing the problem, CF suggested we do all the leg work (change browsers, test on different machines, create an account & submit screen shots through a separate app, keep the images on our website though they were blurry & unrecognizable). Also had several issues at the time of booking customers with inaccurate rates being charged, what was set up on the back-end Admin side was not matching up with what customers were charged. When asked about a credit or refund, they said they do not offer refunds and my only option was to read their Terms of Service. CF does little to no testing on their product, slow to resolve issues and offer unrealistic solutions other companies would never dream of pushing off to their customer.
Summary
Strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Really easy to setup and get running on our website. The admin interface is a breeze to use, and feels very modern compared to other systems we have tried.
Cons
Could have better documentation / tutorials.
Summary
We have been using Checkfront for the past several months after trying (and abandoning) several other booking system. It works well for our needs, and is very affordable for our small business.
