The CBT4Kids App was developed by two Clinical Psychologists to provide evidence-based therapy tools that are easy to use and appealing to children aged 6 - 12 years. CBT4Kids modules have been designed to engage children in the therapeutic process by helping to build rapport and by providing a vehicle to communicate thoughts, emotions and experiences through current familiar technology. Children are introduced to the key concepts of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) through fun, interactive modules that can be included as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.As an introductory offer we would like to offer you the CBT4Kids Toolbox and the Belly Breathing module completely free of charge. Four additional modules are currently available for purchase through the Toolbox: Body Changes (physiological signs and symptoms) Thinking Skills (cognitive restructuring). Problem Solving Progressive Muscle Relaxation (guided Audio)Features Toolbox An organizational system that allows you to store tools and client details such as name, age, session dates and completed tasks. ToolsBelly Breathing exercise Yours FREE when you download the CBT4Kids Toolbox. The guided Breathing Game teaches children how to breathe deeply into their abdomen for relaxation and includes a calming musical accompaniment.Body Changes Module Available for purchase from the Toolbox. Introduces the concept of identifying physiological signs and symptoms (Body Changes) associated with basic emotions to children aged 6 - 12 years. Children get to choose and name their own Avatar to work though the interactive activity Options to save, print or email completed tasks.Thinking Skills Module Available for purchase from the Toolbox. Introduces Cognitive Restructuring (Thinking Skills) to children aged 6-12 years. Interactive stories to help build understanding of the differences between thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Interactive activities that allow children to share their own unique stories while learning the key principals of cognitive restructuring. Options to save, print, or email completed tasks. Printable homework tasks.Progressive Muscle Relaxation exercise - Available for purchase from the Toolbox - The guided Progressive Muscle Relaxation exercise has a friendly child-focused content and musical accompaniment (8 mins). - Introduces correct breathing technique before guiding children through an exercise to notice the difference between tense muscles and relaxed muscles as they progress through each muscle group. - Includes a simple explanation of the effect of breathing and relaxation on physiological arousal for children. - Use the included self-rating scale, featuring coloured clouds, before and after the exercise.
