- i had an issue with it not recording sound at first. when i figured that out it has worked fine since.

- i was looking for an app that could make recordings of the screen so i could capture video that i could not download, like news websites and the like. i found this app and after using the trial version with the watermark i was pleased with it and decided to buy it. at first it would not record sound, but after i figured out what the problem and fixed it i have been very pleased with how the app has worked very well. recommended.
Viola Finder bug still not fixed

- Over the past numerous updates, still has a bug in Finder, when used in conjunction with Kensington Trackball Works. Using the Trackball Works "Application Switcher", when Viola is Open causes the software to continuously "scan" through the menu of Open (in the background) Apps so that you cannot stop on any app long enough to select it. Therefore, it is necessary to Close Viola and never leave it running in the background. The only work-around (if you have it) is to use the iClock Pro Application Icon on the Mac Menu Bar to get the "Application Switcher" drop-down menu to select different primary applications.

- A "must-have" App, but one that needs a better effort at quality control on interfacing with other popular Mac 3rd party Apps. This problem has been previously reported to SmithMicro on 5/15/13, but no response or corrective action has been accomplished!

- screen capture parts or pieces "send to" is a favorite feature i use it all the time for everything that needs to have a copy such as invoices, IM logs, airplane itineraries, bills etc. All docs in one place for easy retrieval. Great for making changes to ads and marketing graphics and copy. The live video capture is very handy. great for recording web streamed events and concerts.

- Doesn't work on a Mac. Record, then when you stop recording it gives an error and no vid file. Forum admins acknowledge bug and say it will be fixed in next 'update'. Oh, and they say it will take a while for the update to come because they are adding features. Here's a suggestion, add a feature that allows this program to work.
